Julian Tynan | Director

Growing up in the bottom-right corner of Australia, he photographed his early life on a goat farm. Julian’s work is visually striking, an obsession for the unusual and an unassuming human insight.

Julian cut his teeth making Behind-the-Scenes documentaries for film and tv. This gave him insight into the process of many of the best contemporary directors working today and sharpened his skills behind the camera and in the edit (both of which he still uses today). He works well with a full crew or a run & gun scenario. He thrives directing actors and candid talent alike.

His films, including Siblings, How To Sell A Car & Widowers have screened at festivals internationally including Palm Springs, Vancouver, London Short Film Festival as well as features on Nowness, Vice, Director’s Notes and many more.
